Versatile, strong and natural-looking, dental implants are permanent replacements for the tooth and root. While a bridge would be the traditional choice for tooth replacement, healthy tooth structure must be removed to provide an abutment for the bridge. Dental implants eliminate the need to remove healthy tooth structure and allow for a more permanent solution.
And now, thanks to advanced technology, implant placement doesn’t have to be a painful, drawn out procedure. We use one of the most innovative breakthroughs in dentistry – the i-CAT – to measure and place dental implants for both speed and accuracy of placement. Often these implants can be accomplished in one day depending on your needs and what would be your most appropriate treatment.
Using the i-CAT, Dr. Randish can get a 3D digital image of the jaw, and, using those images, create a replica of your mouth. This enables Dr. Randish to see the precise measurements and placement of the implant. The surgical procedure requires no incision, no sutures and there is very little post-operative swelling or discomfort.
